Wondering

Does anyone have any ideas of ways to reward the students in my classroom who continually do a great job? I don't want to have to go out & buy anything, but I am looking for easy simple things to do that could show them how much I appreciate how hard they work. I want it to set them apart from the students who misbehave, something that the others would strive to work toward. So let me know if you have any good ideas. One I did think of was picking 2 or 3 studendts to eat in the classroom or outside one day. Any other thoughts?

I don't know about your age group, but sometimes just being allowed to help the teacher means a lot to a student. Do you have some tasks that are a little bit of fun, but helpful to you? Probably your idea of letting them go outside, or do something special will be good. God bless you as you struggle with the miscreants. Nana

I remember having a classroom pet in elementary, and we could earn the right to let it sit at our desk or feed it or even take it home for the weekend. The animal ranged from fish to hampsters or a bird and a snake in sixth grade.
