Interesting thought

Yesterday I went with our youth group to a CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) down at the West Orange Church of Christ. I believe they have one of these each month where a different church hosts all the teens in the area. One of my favorite things about the time with the teens is the singing. I get so into the music & really focus on the words & how they make me feel. The teens really enjoy this time too. A lot of the songs they sing are ones they hear on the christian radio station that is based out of Orlando.

The speaker for the afternoon was the youth minister from the congregation. His talk centered on the thought of how we need to take a stand for Jesus & tell others about him, especially in our life styles. The church itself has been focusing on the theme "Don't go to church". They have even made t'shirts that say this. When asked about the shirts or the theme they point out that we shouldn't be going to church, we should BE the church. It really makes you think & I hope it makes the teens think too. So many teenagers seem to be falling away from the church & I pray that events like this one will help the teenagers reach out to each other & to God.
