Alright, I think it has been long enough since my last blog! I am going to try my best to blog at least once a week during this coming school year. I am hoping to share funny or sweet stories about my class & do my best to stay away from the negativity that seemed to follow me around last year.
As of right now my room is almost ready (pictures to follow soon). We have Meet the Teacher on Thursday & I can't wait to meet my new little 3rd graders. It will be nice to have students that are actually "little". Some of my 5th graders in the past have been taller than me!
This year there is a big push for doing things as a grade level. Teaching on the same schedule & being consistent with our procedures & rules from class to class. Not sure how I feel about all this, but if it works to help our students I guess I'm for it. Thankfully I have a wonderful team & I am looking forward to working with each of them this year.
